The thoughts and actions of Grüne Erde GmbH are guided by the longing for an ecologically responsible, socially fair, quality-conscious and sensual life - not dominated by the pursuit of profit. The ideal of a life and economy in connection with nature and human beings determines the basic values of the company and thus also the way in which the products are manufactured and distributed.
What began in 1983 with the handmade natural mattress "White Cloud" is today a comprehensive range from healthy and natural living and sleeping to home accessories, natural cosmetics and organic fashion. The ecologically and socially fair manufactured products are sold in our 14 stores in Austria and Germany, by our telephone customer care, through our catalogues and on our website.
As a multi-channel retailer, Grüne Erde is of course also affected by returns. From an ecological point of view, however, such returns of goods are
questionable. Of course, we want to offer our customers the best possible comfort and service. As a company with such basic values, it is of course difficult to manage the balancing act between ecological sense, customer satisfaction and economic action. For example, the customer wants the goods to be shipped as individually and quickly as possible, but faster delivery is usually not ecological. How do you create a situation in which all interests are satisfied and the connection to people and nature is not lost?
The urge to get to the bottom of this question was the motivation for
the Green Earth to participate in the research project Think!First.
We can take part in research together with our customers, we can be innovative in an ecological way -- that's what we love about this project. We want to do the splits!
